Citrus fruits are the “Golden Fruits of the Mediterranean”, they are the most important and delicious source of vitamins. Citrus juice has the highest vitamin C content and is found in any healthy eating plan.

Citrus fruits are very important in our diet, because while they are very rich in vitamins and minerals (essential for our body), they contain very few calories. They are rich in vitamin A and C, potassium, sodium, iron, calcium, phosphorus and antioxidants.

New research brings to light daily more and more beneficial properties from the consumption of citrus fruits. They stimulate the immune system, helping the body defend itself against viruses, carcinogenesis, multiple sclerosis. They protect against hypertension, heart attacks and strokes. They have the ability to lower cholesterol.

Also, in many studies it is reported that organic citrus fruits contain a higher content of vitamin C, and a lower content of water.
The consumption of organic-biodynamic citrus fruits multiplies the aforementioned positive effects on human health, due to the complete absence of chemical residues and their increased nutrients.

Production

Biodynamic cultivation is applied to the entire production of organic citrus fruits of the cooperative and is certified according to the DEMETER standard.

Citrus fruits are available from October to May.

Oranges: From late October to late May
Tangerines: From late October to late March
Grapefruite: From late November to late March
Lemons: From mid-December to late March

They are offered in the following packages:

Bulk in cartons & IFCO or EPS of 6Kg, 8Kg, 14Kg, 20Kg
In single-row or two-row arrangement in cartons of 2,2Kg, 8Kg, 10Kg
In "girsack" or "tie" nets 0,5Kg, 0,75 Kg, 1 Kg, 1,5 Kg, 2 Kg
